EMS - Monday Night Drill

Both the Fire and EMS services "drill" on Monday nights at 7pm. The intent is to solidify and improve upon the skills that were obtained during formal certification training or continuing education. It is vital that all personnel be proficient on the specific equipment used by our agency, as well as knowlegible on agency specific Standard Operating Procedures. Different personnel have different levels of expertise, by training together we are able to assist each other, and consider questions (or suggestions) in a calm, non-critical environment, preparing us for the "real thing". We frequently plan combined drills (Fire, EMS, Fire Police) to assure that our efforts are well-coordinated, and that we understand the operating procedures of the other services.

Drill is an opportune time to experience what the Emergency Medical Services entails, in a controlled environment.
