Training

These images are from a combined fire/ems drill. The scenario is every fire/ems officer's nightmare, an accident involving an emergency vehicle and another vehicle. This scenario started with three victims in the small white car, and two victims in the "tower". As the scenario unfolded a sixth victim was found under the "tower", and a seventh victim, a firefighter suffering from heat exhaustion, was identified. Typically additional fire and ems resources would be dispatched to assist. In this training exercise we triaged/prioritized, extricated, and treated all patients with our own resources. By creating difficult (but not completely unrealistic) scenarios, we are able to further stregthen our abilities to address real-world challenges.
